Met expectations, good fit and comfortable, vent system’s efficient with two controllers…have converted my Mt. bike and street bike helmets to MIPS helmets too.
I've always been partial to Smith products. Now I have MIPS. I come from the 60s when he/Dr.Smith invented the first 'double lens, fully ventilated' goggles changing skiing forever. And, I live only one exit from his original ORTHODONTIST office in Marin. Yes really, 'ORTHODONTIST' = teeth.
Too bad I noticed the same helmet on Amazon for less.
great helmet, make sure you buy the speaker inserts separately, buy the brand Alta they are half the price of others and work great
pretty much says it all.
Great helmet for my skiing adventures. Fits comfortably and the boa adjusts easily
Everyone raved about this helmet and they weren't wrong ... get it!
I have a round Asian head and finally found a helmet that fits that also looks great. The Asian fit makes the helmet rounder and less oval. Before this helmet I would have to upsize in regular fit helmets to get a comfortable fit since the regular fit helmets would be too narrow and tight on the sides however when I went larger the helmet would then be too long front and back. I have Smith I/O goggles and the integration with this helmet is perfect. Before, I had a Giro helmet and the helmet would sit too low and push the goggles down. The goggles also stay up very nicely when I have them off and resting on the brim of the helmet. As for sizing, my head measures 57-57.5 cm. Of note the Asian fit sizing is very different than the regular fit. The small ranges 55-59 cm which I purchased. The small fits snug even without tightening the BOA system but is still comfortable. However with the small helmet and my head size there is no room to wear a beanie under the helmet which I don't anyways. I'd say if you're head measures 58 or 59 or you want a looser fit or want to wear a beanie underneath your helmet then I would get the Medium Asian fit (59-63 cm). Just for comparison, in the regular fit helmet I tried on a medium and it still felt tight on the sides and uncomfortable.
I had ordered the wrong size helmet. Customer service is fast to issue me a shipping label and got the new helmet to me.
