The new SCOTT Centric Plus was designed and developed for our world-class road and mountain bike racers. We leveraged our extensive aerodynamic expertise to make one of the lightest and best ventilated helmets in its class. This was achieved through optimization of airflow on both the outside and the inside of the helmet. MIPS® provides the benefits of a MIPS® Brain Protection System and features a unique construction to further enhance ventilation.

Aero OptimizedOur Aero-optimized helmets were developed in cooperation with our Pro athletes. Designed and engineered to maximize aerodynamics, these helmets allow for that precious increase in rider speed. Extensive testing in the wind tunnels allowed us to minimize drag in multiple head positions.
MIPS Brain Protection System
MIPS is a low-friction layer inside the helmet which allows the head to rotate relative to the helmet in an angled impact. This substantially reduces rotational violence and the potential for damage to the brain.
Halo Fit System
Our top-of-the-line HALO Fit System ensures easy adjustability and unparallelled comfort. Find the perfect height of the rear ergonomic cradle while the helmet is on your head and dial in optimal pressure using the beautifully engineered micro-adjustment dial. PC In-Mold Construction
During the in-mold manufacturing process, the outer shell of polycarbonate material is fused with the helmet’s impact-absorbent foam liner, creating a super-lightweight outer shell. With reduced weight and bulk surrounding the head, in-mold helmets are more comfortable than traditional helmets.
I love this helmet, it’s my 3rd. However, this particular helmet which I ordered from Dreamruns was manufactured 3 years ago. This is only of concern because the foam used in the manufacture of the helmet has a shelf life, and begins to break down after 4 or 5 years, which means this helmet is good for a year or two at most. Needless to say I was disappointed. In the interest of full disclosure, I was offered a refund, but I had already used the helmet.
