Top quality pants, runs small

Quality pants, I was generally happy with the materials and features. Only comment on the material was they were a little more of a "noisy" fabric than I was expecting.
Sizing runson the small side - I have approx. 33 or 34 waist with an athletic build, typically wear L in everything and often wear slim fit pants.
Waist on the size Large was snug and my thighs didn't fit all the way in, without any consideration for layering - More along the lines of what I would expect with a skinny fit, and definitely not what I was expecting with these advertised as a regular fit. An XL probably would have worked great for me as a slim fit, but was unable to find any in stock.
