Down for anything.

  • Medium Camber
  • 3BT (Triple Base Technology) with SideKick All Bataleon boards feature tip to tail positive camber in combination with lifted sidebase contact points. SideKick Tips enhance 3BTs advantages like nothing you experienced before by dramatically increasing the sidebase uplift at the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation even smoother, increases float in powder and handling of the board in rough terrain.
  • Directional Twin 3BT - Bataleon's directional twin boards have a twin sidecut and contact area and a directional outline. These boards are shaped with evenly proportioned center and side bases with medium uplift for the perfect balance for freestyle and freeriding.
  • Light Core - 50-50 paulownia and poplar woods blend for optimal strength to weight properties.
  • Biax Laminate - Bataleon's traditional and time tested two-way weave of fiberglass is light, strong and responsive; keeping the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness.
  • Dual Super Tubes - Dual Super Tubes are two hollow carbon core upgrades that are inserted into the core. The hollow carbon tubes greatly increase the woodcores pop and reduce weight.
  • Carbon Stringers - Carbon is feather light and adds explosive pop, precise edge control, reactive response and smooth dampening to a board. Bataleon uses this to beef up the flex pattern.
  • Shock Walls - Urethane infused sidewall technology. Shock Walls smooth out your ride and are more resistant to impact.
  • Hyper Glide S - Bataleon's standard sintered base that's durable and fast and even faster when you keep it waxed.
  • Flip Flop Base - Die-cut bases are like a jigsaw. Flip Flop minimises waste by using two or more color options for each piece. That means more unique graphics and less environmental harm.
  • 2 x 4 Insert Pattern with Two Backseat Inserts
  • Flex Rating - 4/10 (1=Soft,10=Stiff)

Bataleon Whatever Snowboard Specs

Characteristics

Terrain - What’s this board’s natural home? Full send in the park? Elbows down on the trails? Or chucking roosters somewhere off grid?

Flex - Softer snowboards are easier to press and won’t kick your ass if you make a mistake. Stiffer decks are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge. Choose your poison.

Float - Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.

Shape

Directional Twin - Boards that need to excel both on the slopes and out of bounds are shaped with evenly proportioned center and side bases and a medium uplift striking the optimal balance for freestyle and freeriding.

3BT + SideKick - Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip-to-tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting Sidekick feature makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Camber Profile - Camber profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. higher is not always better...

Nose Sidebase Uplift - The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. most effected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.

Tail Sidebase Uplift - The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology making opur boards more versatile then others.

Construction

Bi-Ax Lamination - A traditional two-way weave that is light, strong and playful; it keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which is great for getting creative.

Light Core - 50/50 Paulownia and poplar creates a balanced core that’s lively yet strong.

Hyper Glide S - Our standard sintered base that’s durable and fast – and even faster when you keep it waxed.

Shock Walls - This is our Urethane infused sidewall technology. ShockWalls smooth out your ride and are more resistant to impact.

D.S.T. SuperTubes - Dual Super Tubes, a Super Tube on either side of the board enhances pop and gives the camber more snap.

Carbon Stringers - Our tried and tested carbon layups. We deploy them in different areas to fine-tune the feel of each model.

Flip Flop Base - Die-cut bases are like a jigsaw. Flip Flop minimizes waste by using two or more color options for each piece. That means more unique graphics and less environmental harm.

Features

3BT Triple Base Technology - At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

SideKick - SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

SuperTubes - Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Awesome!

Needed a new board so decided to go with a Bataleon and try out the 3BT, and finally found one in my size. I’m an intermediate at 5’7 weighing 125 lbs, currently using a 151 cm. Nice and flawless board, takes a bit of getting used to due to the 3BT. Overall it’s a good all mountain board. Medium -softer side of flex and likes to pop when wanting it too.
