This thing saved my life. Our rafting trip in southern utah took a turn for the worse weather wise. Our first night, we were greeted with high winds, rain, and light snow; must have been about 30 degrees. This hood took it all like a champ. completely blocks the wind and kept my head, neck, and face nice and toasty warm, without needing any other layers on top or underneath it.
