    Fantastic touring shoe

    Went on a fully loaded 3 day tour in New Hampshire's White Mountains just after getting these. Lots of multi mile climbs. The shoes were plenty stiff and no slip in the heel even when out of the saddle. Off the bike walking feels like the old earth shoes with the heel lower than the toe. Actually stretches the calves just walking around but doesn't feel awkward. Nice roll off the toe as you step. The SPD cleats never touch the ground. The laces stay put under the strap, I never had to stop to retie. We didn't have rain but the material looks like it would only repel, not absorb any water. I'm a US 9 EE in most shoes and usually buy a 42 but either wear no socks or extremely thin silk socks. For the loaded touring I wanted to wear a good cushioned hiking sock so I bought 43's. They fit perfectly, no movement in the toe or heel and the width was great. Highly recommend
