We took our iC (integrated Cockpit) concept and applied it to downhill to produce a light and strong one piece cockpit for the ultimate in downhill speed. At 300g in 800mm width it's not only one of the lightest bars available but integrating the stem removes a huge amount of weight from the bike while the one piece construction allows us to reinforce key areas to inspire confidence where it is needed. Our carbon engineers worked on the layup to find the perfect balance of stiffness, not too harsh, not too soft, but just right.

Technologies

iC Integrated Cockpit
iC - Through the years, our line of components has continued to shred into uncharted territory, forever pursuing the magical blend of strength, light weight and ergonomics. Our integrated Cockpit concept blurs the line between components and frame, creating a seamless unit that functions as a complete system rather than a collection of parts. The result is lighter, stronger & more aerodynamic – redefining the classic bike aesthetic.

Carbon UD
The foundation of our carbon components are our fibres. At Syncros we mainly use unidirectional carbon fibres. These show more tensile strength and modulus than woven carbon patterns. (Tensile strength is the amount of force needed to cause the fibres to break, while the tensile modulus is a measure of the carbon fibre's stiffness). This gives us the ability to produce very light carbon products and to be one of the innovation leaders in the industry.
